The Essence of Summer

Coffee Break

I have been working on a video of Best of 2008 pictures.
This picture, in its simplicty, is the essence of a summer ride. Looking at it, I can remember the heat of the day, sitting on the sidewalk outside the DD's in Brattleboro, VT. I'd just finished another pass of Hogback Mt, a favorite passage from East to West. An iced coffee, my K75 and a sunny day. Life is good.

Relax
In the non bike category, this picture also encapsulates summer. My friend Rick relaxing on his hammock, the ski boat waiting, the sun glinting off the water. That my friend is summer. I think I'll sit back and enjoy the memory for just a minute.

Nice site and photos! I only recently learned about you and really enjoyed reading your posts. I ride a BMW F800ST myself, am a photographer, and just finished writing Photoshop CS4: The Missing Manual. I'd love to send you a copy of the book. Consider it a gift from one Beemer girl to another. Just drop me an email and I'll have my publisher fire one off to you.

My husband and I also ride extensively throughout New England (we're in Danbury CT) and organize rides with our local BMW dealership. It'd be fun to meet up with you once it warms!
