Motorcycles, Photography & Ride Reports

What a perfect pairing! I caught this offering in RoadRunner.
Oh to be free to attend weekday seminars is far off places.
Bikes, Cameras Action!
If you keep a camera stashed in the tank-bag and always keep meaning to put down your riding experiences in an article to submit to a motorcycle magazine or club newsletter, you're certainly not alone. Now there's a conference geared specially for the motorcycle rider who wants to sharpen his or her photography and writing skills. North Arkansas College, in Harrison, AR and cruisetheozarks.com has teamed up to provide this unique opportunity in beautiful Eureka Springs, AR.

David Bell, owner of Cruise the Ozarks, is the photography instructor at North Arkansas College. "I've been a photographer and taught photography for 30 years and have been involved in numerous workshops," Bell says. "To my knowledge, this is the first one geared exclusivelly toward motorcycle riders." Bell is a frequent contributor to motorcycle and general interest/niche magazines. "My goal is for this to be the first of semi-annual workshops for riders," Bell says. "And what better place to inaugurate the workshop than in the heart of the Ozarks. The faculty is all respected professionals in their individual fields, selected to help conference attendees inprove their skills." Most know their way around a motorcycle very well. Steve Lita, editor of RoadBike magazine, is this year's featured presenter.

The workshop will take place May 13-15, 2009. The cost is $225.00 and includes three meals. Riding opportunities will be available during the conference, as well time to relax around the historic Victorian resort town of Eureka Springs. For an online brochure, go to heartoftheozarks.com, or contact David Bell at 870-423-8036. His email address is davidleebell@alltel.net.

I see more and more people on bikes and scooters with cameras now. Little digital cameras that fit inside a jacket pocket are capable of making some amazing pictures.

This workshop sounds like fun and I bet they fill it up. I was asked to teach a blogging workshop here and it starts next week. It's six, two-hour sessions spread over six weeks. Not sure who is registered yet but I wonder if there are any people who ride and want to start he or she rides a whatever! *grin*

Getting ready for the class and making notes on managing a blog I got to the part where I am going to tell people to pay attention to their blogrolls and keep it current. At that point I realized I had lost some sites when I switched to the new Blogger layout. Yours for one. So I added you back.

Just last week I directed a guy I know who just got a new BMW and was hinting that he might want to take his daughter riding. Your site seemed the logical choice.
